About Jenny

Jenny is a versatile and dynamic violinist, offering acoustic violin performances for events such as weddings, corporate functions, parties, and orchestral concerts across the UK and internationally. Based in Dorset, her artistry extends beyond performance; she is also available for teaching, conducting ensembles, and leading workshops. Jenny brings her passion for music to every project, inspiring audiences and students alike.

Jenny began learning the violin at the age of 4 and later went on to study at Trinity College of Music, with renowned professors Eszter Boda Katona and Gina McCormack. During her studies, she earned several accolades, including the Mehroo and Byram Jeejeebhoy Prize.

A winner of the prestigious E M Pearce Prize for instrumental music and chosen as the 2003 Young Duo Artist, Jenny has performed with some of the UK's leading orchestras. Her debut recital took place at the Barbican Centre in 2003, followed by solo performances at esteemed venues such as Regent Hall, St-Martin-in-the-Fields, and the Royal Courts of Justice.

As an orchestral player, Jenny has served as Principal 2nd Violin with the RTE Concert Orchestra and is a regular guest with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Her thriving freelance career includes frequent collaborations with string quartets, orchestras, and other musical groups. Though classically trained, Jenny’s passion for exploring diverse genres—including folk and popular music—adds depth and versatility to her performances.

In recent years, Jenny has focused on developing youth music opportunities within her community. She conducts the Wessex Youth Music Junior Strings, coaches young chamber musicians, and leads workshops to inspire the next generation of musicians.

Outside of her musical career, Jenny enjoys escaping to the countryside with her family in their campervan. She is a very slow runner, and enjoys practising yoga, discovering new foods, and indulging in a glass of fine red wine.
